About The Run

1. Who is eligible to participate in Miri Marathon 2025?

All Malaysian citizens and non-citizens may participate.

There are different minimum age requirements for the different race categories:

  • 5KM Fun Run: No age limit.
  • 10KM Speed Run: 15 years and above as of 13 April 2025.
  • Half Marathon (21KM): 16 years and above as of 13 April 2025.
  • Full Marathon (42KM): 18 years and above as of 13 April 2025.

Note: Participants aged 12 years old and below must be accompanied by parents and guardians who is a participant of 21 years old of age and older.

2. What category does Miri Marathon 2025 offer?

5KM Fun Run, 10KM Speed Run, Half Marathon (21KM) and Full Marathon (42KM).

3. Can I change my category after registration?

Yes. You are allowed to change your distance or category after registration. You just need to log in to our website 45 days before the event date to make the changes.

Note: There is an additional charge for changing information.

4. Can I register for multiple race categories?

Unfortunately, joining multiple categories is not allowed. One (1) participant is only allowed to join one (1) category.

5. What is the flag-off time?

The flag-off time for each category are as follows:

  • 5KM Fun Run: 05:30am
  • 10KM Speed Run: 05:00am
  • Half Marathon (21KM): 02:00am
  • Full Marathon (42KM): 01:00am
6. What is the cut-off time?

The qualifying timings for each category are as follows:

  • 5KM Fun Run: 1 hour 30 minutes after the flag-off time.
  • 10KM Speed Run: 2 hours 30 minutes after the flag-off time.
  • Half Marathon (21KM): 3 hours 30 minutes after the flag-off time.
  • Full Marathon (42KM): 7 hours after the flag-off time.
7. What happens if I cannot complete my run within the qualifying time?

All participants must complete their run within the qualifying time. Else, the participant will not be entitled to the finisher’s items.

There are four (4) different distance categories to choose from, so ensure to choose wisely which category fits your pace best.

8. I’m a Muslim. Is there any Subuh prayer mat or place for Subuh prayer along the route?

Yes.

9. Is there any food available on the route?

Yes.

10. Can I run with my iPod/smartphone?

Yes

11. Can I run with my tracking running device (Garmin GPS, Nike+, etc.)?

Yes.

12. Where can I store my belongings during my run?

You can store at the Drop Zone area.

13. Can I wear something else other than the official running vest?

Yes, but we highly recommend you wear the official running vest.

14. Are bikes/baby joggers/strollers/wheelchairs/pets allowed on the route?

No.

15. I’m driving to the event. Where can I park my car?

You may park at certain designated car parks nearby the race venue.

About The Registration

1. When will the registration for Miri Marathon 2025 open?

The Miri Marathon 2025 registration will be open now.

2. How can I register for the Miri Marathon 2025?

You can register for the run HERE.

3. When and where will the Miri Marathon 2025 be held?

The event will be held on 13th April 2025, at Jalan Merpati, Miri.

*Event Venue and Date are subject to change.

4. I couldn’t attend the physical race. Can I join virtually?

Thank you for being so supportive; however, this year has no virtual run. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

5. When does the registration for Miri Marathon 2025 close?

To be announce soon.

6. Do I need to provide my best time to register for Full Marathon (42KM) or Half Marathon (21KM)?

No.

7. How will I know if my online registration is successful?

Upon successful registration, a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.

8. I have not received any confirmation email after I have successfully registered. What should I do?

If you did not receive your confirmation email, please check your spam, junk, promotions, social folders, or any other tabs in your inbox. If it is not there, please contact us at mirimarathon@hotmail.com with your full name, IC/passport number, the email address used for registration, and any proof of payment.

9. I have received a notification from my bank that my credit card transaction is successful. However, I did not receive any confirmation email. How do I go about it?

Kindly email us at mirimarathon@hotmail.com with supporting information and transaction details.

10. Can I make changes to my personal details after confirmation of my registration?

No, you cannot make any changes to your personal details.

Note: The names of participants and apparel sizes are final upon registration and cannot be changed.

11. Can I help my friend to register?

Yes, up to 10 participants at one time.

12. How do I register for corporate registration?

For corporate registration, kindly email us at mirimarathon@hotmail.com.

13. I need an official receipt for my registration. How do I request it?

Please email us at mirimarathon@hotmail.com.

14. I am interested in group registration. Is there any special offer/discount for the group registration fee?

For 50 participants and above group registration, please email mirimarathon@hotmail.com to learn more about special offers/discounts.

About The Payment & Refund

1. How do I make payment?

After completing the registration process, you will be directed to a payment portal where you can pay by credit card/debit card/e-wallet.

2. If I cannot make it for the run, can I get a refund/withdrawal/transfer or defer my participation?

All registration entries/fees are strictly non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-deferrable.

3. If I provide medical documentation of my injury or pregnancy, will you give me a refund?

No.

About The Runner’s Race Pack Collection

1. When and where is the race pack collection?

The Miri Marathon 2025 race pack collection date will be on 10 – 12 April 2024. The venue for race pack collection will be announce soon.

2. What do I need to produce to collect my race pack?

You need to present the softcopy of your IC/passport and e-ticket slip.

3. Can I use a delivery service (GrabExpress, MaximDelivery, etc.) or have someone collect on my behalf?

Yes, you may arrange to do so. Please ensure the collector present a copy of your e-ticket slip and “Collection on Behalf Form” during collection. The steps are as follows:

  1. Provide the IC number of the collector.
  2. Have them present a copy of the e-ticket and “Collection on Behalf Form.”
  3. Enjoy your race pack!
4. I am an International Participant, and I will only be in Malaysia during the same week. Can I collect my race kits during event day?

Unfortunately, there will be strictly no collection on the event day. You are encouraged to opt for delivery service or get a representative to collect on your behalf. If you face any further challenges, please email us at mirimarathon@hotmail.com.

5. If there have courier service for the race pack?

Unfortunately, there will be no courier service options for the race pack.

6. What do I get in my race pack?
  • 5KM Fun Run: Dry Fit Event Tee, Finisher Medal, Race Bib, and E-certificate.
  • 10KM Speed Run: Dry Fit Event Tee, Finisher Medal, Race Bib with timing chip and E-certificate.
  • Half Marathon (21KM): Dry Fit Event Tee, Finisher Medal, Race Bib with timing chip, E-certificate & Half Marathon Finisher Tee.
  • Full Marathon (42KM): Dry Fit Event Tee, Finisher Medal, Race Bib with timing chip, E-certificate & Full Marathon Finisher Tee.

 

Note: The finisher medal and finisher tee can only be collected after completing the race (within the cut-off time) upon presentation of the race bib.

7. What are the T-shirt sizes and measurements?

9. Can I change my T-shirt size after registration?

Yes. You are allowed to can change your T-shirt size after registration. You just need to log in to our website 45 days before the event date to make the changes.

About The Race Bib, Timing & Results

1. Is Miri Marathon presented according to official Gun time or Net time?

Gun time.

2. Is it necessary to wear the race bib when participating in the race?

Participants MUST wear their race bibs while participating in the race. The Organiser reserves the right to deny runners entry into the start pen without valid race bibs.

3. How should I wear my race bib/timing chip?

The race bib/timing chip should be worn in front (chest area) at all times.

4. I have lost my race bib/timing chip. Can I request for a replacement?

Request for replacement of race bib/timing chip will not be entertained.

5. I accidentally bent my timing chip. I am afraid it might not working. Can I request for a replacement?

No.

6. How long will the result be published?
  • Prize Winner Result – within 3 hours after the Top 20 finishers for all categories have crossed the finishing line.
  • Full Results – within 3 days.
7. Do you provide any certificate of participation?

Yes. We provide e-Certificate.

8. I have record and track my own timing. I found out that my official timing greatly differs from my own records. Can I request to change my timing?
